Leave of Absence

When you need time away from work for significant life events such as the birth of a child, caring for an injured family member, or managing a serious health condition, FBM is here to support you. Our Leave of Absence (LOA) program, administered by Voya Leave Management, provides a concierge service that makes the LOA process simple and stress-free—to help you focus on what matters most.

To participate in the leave program, you must request a leave of absence and obtain approval 30 days in advance, if possible. Use the links below to get started.

Medical Leave

A period of approved absence from work granted to an employee who is unable to perform their job duties due to illness, injury, surgery, or another health-related condition. It allows time for treatment and recovery before returning to work.

Maternity Leave

A period of approved absence from work granted to a mother following the birth, adoption, or foster placement of a child. It is designed to allow time for recovery from childbirth and bonding with the new child.

Paternity Leave

A period of approved absence from work granted to a father or partner following the birth, adoption, or foster placement of a child. It provides time to support the mother/primary caregiver and bond with the new child.

Intermittent Leave

Approved time away from work taken in separate blocks of time, rather than one continuous period, for a qualifying medical or family reason. It may be used for ongoing treatment, medical appointments, or when a condition occasionally prevents an employee from working.

Military Leave

Military Leave provides eligible employees with time off to fulfill military service obligations, including training, deployment, or active duty, in accordance with applicable federal and state laws (such as USERRA). The leave ensures job protection and benefit continuation as required by law.
